A digital Christmas gift that unwraps to their own song
A digital Christmas gift doesn’t have to be a gift card. This one is a candle-lit evergreen room, a gift box tied in gold ribbon, and inside it a Christmas card that sings: an original song about them, with your message and your photos. Send it by link to wherever they are this Christmas, or put a QR card under the tree.
Included with your US$29.99 song. Hear your song free before paying; the gift page and Pocket Island come with it.

The example
A plate saved for Liza
Liza is an ER nurse working the Christmas Eve night shift for the third year in a row. At home, Marco and their daughter Bea keep Christmas going for her: a plate wrapped in foil with her name on it, the tree lights left on all night, and presents that wait until she has slept. Marco sends her a gift page to open on her 3 a.m. break.
Sample song
I'll Save You a Plate
Christmas Soul
Read the lyrics of “I'll Save You a Plate”
Quarter to seven, hair tied back
Coffee in a flask, badge on
Bea is fixing the star on the tree
"It's crooked, Mom, don't be long"
Then you're out the door in your sneakers
To the ward on Christmas Eve
Third year running, love, I know
It's not the night you'd choose to leave
I'll save you a plate
Wrapped in foil with your name
Leave the tree lights on all night
And the porch light just the same
While you're taking care of strangers
In the hours no one sees
Merry Christmas, Liza
Christmas waits for you with me
Bea and I make cinnamon rolls
That you always say are dry
And the presents stay wrapped till you've slept
That's the rule, and we know why
So at three, on your break, in the stairwell
You can open this and hear me try
I'll save you a plate
Wrapped in foil with your name
Leave the tree lights on all night
And the porch light just the same
While you're taking care of strangers
In the hours no one sees
Merry Christmas, Liza
Christmas waits for you with me
Somewhere on that ward tonight
Someone's scared and far from home
And you'll be the one who stays with them
So they're not spending Christmas alone
I'll save you a plate
Wrapped in foil with your name
Leave the tree lights on all night
And the porch light just the same
When you're walking in at sunrise
We'll be sleeping by the tree
Merry Christmas, Liza
Christmas waits for you with me
Christmas waits for you with me
For Liza
I'll Save You a Plate
Open this on your break. Your plate's in the oven, the tree's still on, and the presents are waiting till you've slept. Merry Christmas. Love, Marco and Bea

Questions about digital Christmas gifts
What is a good digital Christmas gift?
It depends on what you want it to say. E-gift cards, subscriptions and digital games are practical and arrive instantly, but they could have come from anyone. For something personal, send something made for them: a letter, a video message from the family, or an original song about them, opened from an evergreen gift box with your photos and message.
Can I send a Christmas gift online to someone far away?
Yes. Send the link by text, email or chat and it opens in their browser wherever they are spending Christmas. Nothing ships, so there is no last posting date to miss.
Is this a Christmas e-card or a gift card?
Neither. An e-card is a picture with a message, and a gift card is credit to spend. This is an original song written about them, with your message and photos around it, inside a gift box they open in their browser. You send it the way you would send an e-card: by link. If you turn on the download button, they can keep the song as an MP3.
Can I put it under the tree?
Yes. Print the QR card at home and put it in a card or a stocking. Scanning it opens the gift page.
When should I send the link?
Whenever you want them to open it. The gift page opens as soon as they open the link, so send it on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. If you want some gifts to stay locked until December 25, Pocket Island can do that. See the Christmas Eve island.
Does the song have to be about Christmas?
No. Choose Christmas as the occasion for a festive song, or write about anything you want to tell them this year. The Evergreen & Gold look works either way.
